Isabella and Savannah came from New York and stayed with us for a month. It was so fun to have them here for a while. That month sure flew by quickly. Fun times at Gramma's house!

Jessica's accidents

I hope this is not a trend but thought I would document Jessica's accidents.
December - fell on the ice and hurt hip and arm. then had shots for her mission so was sore.
January 2009 - tv fell on her head from top shelf of her closet.
Feb. 3, 2009 - cut her thumb on a rotary blade for cutting quilting material. Went to Insta-care and had it burned so it would stop bleeding and then a big splint put on (night before she goes to MTC)
March 2009 - in the MTC broke 2 ribs. Sister sat on her back while doing push ups, and then girls dog piled on her. No treatment - just a brace and muscle relaxers.

Dancing Princesses

Abby and Emma turned 6 years old and Suzi made these cute tutus for them. Really cute and they were dancing around and twirling!! Suzi made cute butterfly cakes and they each had to have their own cake! They spent the night at my house and we dyed Easter eggs and watched a movie and danced and pushed baby buggies around the block, and had a tea party.

Sister Iverson on her mission

Well as you may know Jessica is serving her LDS mission. She has been in the MTC for 9 weeks and now went to San Pablo Philippines. She has learned theTagalog language and at first was hard but she seems to understand and speak it quite well now. So will see how she feels about it when she has to speak it every day. The Mission President's wife, Sister Anderson wrote and told us she is there and the Filippino sisters love her blue eyes and blonde hair. I am anxious to hear how she is doing after the 2 day flight to the Philippines and her broken ribs. She had a brace and a lumbar pillow so hope that helped.

happy new year

I feel I am going to have to learn how to do this myself.
We had a great holiday with many of the kids and grand kids here for the holidays. We played games, went sledding and ate and talked and played in the snow. We were 20 here for most meals and were missing Seth and Jeni and Savannah and Isabella in New York but maybe this summer they will be able to come. We were so blessed to have everyone so healthy and able to be with each other.
My mom was also able to come from Minnesota and spend Christmas with us so that was great. Mom flew into Denver and Susie picked her up and stayed with her 3 days and then we met them in Wyoming and exchanged Mom to our car. She had a good time bonding with her great grand kids out here.
Then Mom flew out on Saturday back to Minnesota and we had quite snow storm on Christmas day and then had not all cleared from the roads, but I thought at least the interstate would be ok, but it was not and I was driving about 20 miles an hour through the canyon and then thought the interstate would be clear but I was still going 20-30 miles and hour there, so the normally 1.5 hour trip to the airport ended up being 3 hours. I was talking to mom all the way down calming her as I was clutching the steering wheel saying all was well. And the trip back was a bit better but there were at least 6 accidents along the road and some were pretty serious. But I made it back ok and Mom made it back to Minnesota. Wish mom could come more but we will take what we can.

Jessica is preparing for her mission and got 2 armfuls for shots the other day. I want her healthy but hate to see her in pain. She fell on the ice so was sore in that area also and then both arms were sore from the shots.
